Social Character Counter

Type your post and check its length against the limits for major social platforms, all at once.

Why character limits differ

Each platform sets limits based on its format and reading context. X (Twitter) keeps posts short to encourage quick, frequent updates. LinkedIn allows much longer posts since it's built around professional, longer-form content. Instagram captions can be long, but only the first couple of lines show before "more" truncates the rest — so the effective limit for visibility is much shorter than the technical maximum.
